In our hectic modern world many people have little or no time to spend enjoying their meals with family.  Spending more valuable time with loved ones during meal times can be simple.

  1. Have a Plan – Know what meals you’d like to make for a few days in advance before you go grocery shopping, that way you won’t have to make as many trips and spend less.
  2. Prep-Work – Take an hour aside on a Sunday afternoon to prepare some of your meals. Even small things like having pre-chopped veggies can take the load off on more stressful days. 
  3. Keep Your Tools on Hand – Want to make a quick side salad but can’t remember where you put your spinner? Have all the materials you need at your fingertips.
  4. Switch it Up – If you’re getting bored with your routine spaghetti Saturdays and turkey Tuesdays do not hesitate to try a few new recipes to keep things interesting.  After all, any experienced chef will tell you it takes years of practice to perfect their signature dishes.
  5. Ask for Help – Cooking is a great way to stay connected with your family and can be a fun activity to do together. At the bare minimum, it’ll give everyone a little distraction from technology for a while!
