How to: Care for Non-Stick Roscan Cookware and BakewareFrancais

nonstick bakeware cookware

Non-Stick Cookware and Bakeware are found everywhere!  They produce chef-like results and will continue looking new if they are properly maintained.  The biggest problem with these surfaces is scratching so never touch the Non-Stick surface with anything abrasive.

Before the first use of your Roscan new Non-Stick Cookware or Bakeware make sure you wash it in warm soakpy water, rince and dry thoroughly with a soft cotten or linen towel.  “Season” the Roscan Non-Stick surface with a light surface coating of cooking oil, applied with a soft surface paper towel.

You will find you can cook/bake at lower temperatures than standard Cookware and Bakeware, especially if the surface of the Roscan Non-Stick product is dark in color.  Do a test starting at a lower temperature for Cookware and by checking 10 minutes sooner for Bakeware.  Fats and oils are recommend to use only to enhance the flavour of cooking/baking.

Never use metal utensils on the Non-Stick surface as the will permanently scar the Non-Stick surface; this will happen no matter how careful you are.  There are many Roscan options of non-metal tools and utensils such as wood, nylon, plastic, rubber silicone or specally coated utensils specifically stating they are safe.  Never “cut” into the food you are cooking/baking as that will also scar the surface.

The Roscan Non-Stick Cookware or Bakeware are never to be used at temerpatures exceeding 450 degrees Fahrenheit nor under the broiler.

Ensure your Roscan Non-Stick Cookware and Bakeware is completely cooled before washing as suddent temerpature changes could warp it.  Make sure to clean in warm soaky water after each use as leftover food or grease will cook into the surface and carbonize, causing food to stick; a second washing to ensure all grease has been removed is recommended.  Never put in your dishwasher as the high termperature could ruin the surface and it will void your warranty.  Never use any harsh cleaning liquids or tools to clean the surface; for stubborn sticks soak the item in warm water and dish soap long enough for easy wipe cleaning.  Rinse and dry completely before storing.

Careful storage is key to performance and longevity of your Roscan Non-Stick Cookware and Bakeware.  Ideally the cook surface should not be in touch with any metals.  It is suggested to put a cotton towel between pans for storage to prevent bare metal from touching.

No matter how much you have invested in your Roscan Non-Stick Cookware and Bakeware you can make it last a long time with these simple tips: careful use, cleaning, and storage is all it takes!
